Job Descriptions:

 

Responsicilies 

  • Be patient, have communication skills, show respect and empathy, and have the capacity to listen to people and manage crowds.
  • Be informed and knowledgeable about the project and have access to all the information and messaging material for the specific activity in order to be able to provide information in a timely and accurate manner to people who access Help Desks. 
  • Ensure confidentiality and data protection standards are upheld by meticulously documenting cases while maintaining the utmost discretion.
  • Have digitalized in-take MODA forms installed in devices (tablets or laptops) and be trained on how to use them for correct in-take, escalation and resolution of received cases.
  • Be trained on WFP CFM mechanisms and case management, including case categorization and prioritization, triage, escalation and closure.
  • Other duties as assigned by line manager.

 

Skills/Competencies:

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work directly with authorities and local leaders.
  • Strong communication skills in Pashto and/or Dari.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Excellent decision making and negotiation skills.
  • Good time management and prioritization skills.
  • Good adaptability and ability to work under extreme pressure.
  • High level of integrity independence and initiative.
  • Familiar with MS office and internet.
  • Ability to work on a team or independently.
  • Good understanding of humanitarian principles, standards and frameworks.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in related field is required.
  • 3 years of relevant experience interacting with authorities and local leaders in sensitive environments required.
  • Experience working in remote rural areas required.
  • Experience working in districts preferred.
  • Ability to travel as part of WASSA field team to local districts.
  • Previous experience working with international organizations and/or non-governmental organizations required.
