Job Summary
The Government Relations is responsible for managing and coordinating all interactions between the group of companies and various government agencies. This role involves ensuring compliance with governmental regulations, advocating for the company’s interests, and building strong relationships with key government stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in regulatory affairs, possess strong communication skills, and have a deep understanding of the governmental processes that impact the group’s operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Government Liaison:
· Serve as the primary point of contact between the compnay and government authorities.
· Develop and maintain relationships with key government officials, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
· Attend meetings, hearings, and events with government agencies to represent the company’s interests.
2. Regulatory Compliance:
· Monitor and analyze new and existing regulations, laws, and policies that may affect the company’s operations.
· Ensure the group of companies remains compliant with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
· Coordinate with internal departments to implement and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
3. Advocacy and Policy Influence:
· Advocate for the group’s interests by engaging with policymakers and participating in consultations or public forums.
· Prepare and submit policy recommendations, position papers, and responses to government consultations.
· Collaborate with industry groups and coalitions to influence public policy and regulatory decisions.
4. Licensing and Permits:
· Manage the process of obtaining, renewing, and maintaining all necessary licenses, permits, and certifications for the group’s operations.
· Coordinate with relevant government departments to expedite the approval of licenses and permits.
5. Crisis Management:
· Assist in managing any government-related issues that arise, including responding to investigations, audits, or compliance breaches.
· Develop and implement strategies to mitigate potential risks related to government relations.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
· Prepare and maintain accurate records of all communications and interactions with government entities.
· Generate regular reports on regulatory developments, compliance status, and government relations activities.
· Brief senior management on significant regulatory changes and government-related matters that could impact the business.
7. Strategic Planning:
· Develop and execute a government relations strategy aligned with the group’s business objectives.
· Identify opportunities for the company to engage in public-private partnerships or government-sponsored initiatives.
8. Training and Awareness:
· Provide training to employees on regulatory compliance and government relations best practices.
· Raise awareness within the company about the importance of regulatory compliance and staying informed about policy changes.
9. Other responsibilities:
· Dealing about any issue from government and external authorities.
· Liaise with government offices such as tax authorities
· Updating the daily activities via written reports.
· Arranging the Meetings between LOXDON and Government.
· Solving any emergency problems with government entities
· Processing any legal issue related to Loxdon activities
· Attending meetings with government institutions.
Job Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Experiences:
5+ years of experience in government relations, regulatory affairs, or a similar role, preferably within a large organization or a group of companies.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of governmental processes and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with government officials.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to influence public policy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
