Agency for Assistance and Development of Afghanistan (AADA) is an Afghan non-profit non-governmental organization working for the development of Afghanistan mainly through (1) provision of quality health services; (2) community development; (3) training and capacity building at professional and community levels; and (4) research in topics of public health and social sciences besides various projects in different parts of Afghanistan.

• Responsible for the implementation of public nutrition in the health facilities of Herat
• Conduct monitoring and supervision of OPD-SAM and IPD, growth monitoring (GM), and Maternal, Infant and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN) programs regularly.
• Ensure adherence to national and international nutrition guidelines and standards.
• Prepares timely nutrition project reports, provides feedback, prepares action plans, and follow up
• Responsible for organizing nutrition initial and refresher training for existing HF staff/ CHWs and CHSs that will be conducted based on the work plan.
• Oversee the collection of nutrition data and indicators and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement; compile reports generated by IPD/OPD SAM sites and prepare summary reports in the nutrition database.
• Ensure that all supplies and food commodities are available in each health facility and ensure to establish an effective mechanism to prevent the shortage of food commodities in the HFs.
• Ensure safe, clean, and proper storage of all supplies and other food commodities within the warehouse.
• Any other task assigned by his/her supervisor.

• MD or bachelor’s degree in Public Health from a recognized university 
• At least 3-4 years of Proven experience in nutrition program supervision and implementation.
• Knowledge of national and international nutrition guidelines and standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness and ability to travel to remote health facilities and villages;
• Fluency in written and spoken local languages; 
• Knowledge of the local environment.
