Job Descriptions:

  • Conduct initial assessments, identify needs, and prioritize cases based on vulnerability and risk factors.
  • Develop and implement individualized case plans in consultation with beneficiaries.
  • Facilitate Provision of services, including psychosocial support, crisis intervention, and guidance to beneficiaries.
  • Facilitate referrals to specialized services such as medical care, legal aid.
  • Follow up regularly with beneficiaries to monitor progress and adjust case plans as necessary.
  • Initiate and respond to in-person telephone and written contact with victims and witnesses to provide factually accurate and timely case-related information.
  • Identify documents and provide case management processes for SOV at risk of protection concerns.
  • Make assessments of the amount of service the SOV needs.
  • Maintain files and online statistics for cases.
  • Draft and submit regular activity reports based on project’s reporting requirements.
  • Liaise with other service providers, community leaders, and stakeholders to strengthen referral pathways.
  • Coordinate with protection actors, including local authorities and NGOs, to address gaps in service provision.
  • Participate in case management coordination meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case records in line with WASSA’s data protection and safeguarding policies.
  • Compile and submit timely reports on case management activities, challenges, and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with donor and organizational standards for reporting and documentation.
  • Conduct awareness sessions with community members on protection, gender-based violence, and available services.
  • Provide training and mentoring to local community-based protection committees.
  • Engage with communities to promote understanding and utilization of protection services.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned by the line manager.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • 3 years of experience in similar filed in same province.
  • Computer skills at operator level especially with MS Office packages.
  • Ability and willingness to field visits of Protection Case Management in the relevant province
    Fluency in local languages Dari, Pashto, and English both written and spoken
    Interpersonal and communication skills
  • General knowledge of Afghanistan’s criminal justice system procedures and process.
  • Competent knowledge of victims' rights as outlined in the Law Eliminating Violence against Children and adolescent (girls and boys).
    Ability to maintain composure when dealing with difficult and/or emotional people.
  • Ability to listen and respond professionally.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in statistical data maintenance and report writing.
