Technical Advisor (Health, MHPSS, Disability and Social Inclusion)

Caritas Germany in Afghanistan is supporting Afghan NGOs since 1984 and established its own office in 1994, with programming focused primarily on water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH); food security; nutrition; disaster risk reduction; emergency response; and psychosocial support. Caritas Germany registered as an International NGO with the Ministry of Economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in 2002.

• Providing technical guidance to programme teams and partners

• Supporting inclusive programme design, implementation, and quality assurance

• Leading capacity-building initiatives and technical trainings

• Supporting MEAL systems, donor reporting, and knowledge management

• Engaging with OPDs, clusters, and coordination platforms

• Supporting programme coordination and strategic planning processes

Contract modality and duty station: hybrid consultant position in Kabul with frequent trips to project sites. Equal opportunities, open to all

Contract duration: 6 months with possibility of extension based on funding availability

Reference: At least two subject-specific recommendation letters with current contact information for communication.

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, rehabilitation sciences, social sciences, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in disability inclusion, MHPSS, health, or social inclusion programming

• Experience in humanitarian and/or development settings

• Strong understanding of donor compliance and inclusive programming standards

• Demonstrated programme coordination and project management experience

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Fluency in English, Dari and Pashto required.
