Job Description

Summary

As an Architectural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and planning building structures and systems. Your main focus will be on ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic of the structures you design. You will also work closely with architects, construction teams, and other engineers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.

Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop building plans and schematics.
  2. Ensure all designs meet building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  3. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure project goals are met.
  4.  Architectural engineers research and select appropriate materials for construction, considering factors like durability, cost-effectiveness, environmental impact, and aesthetic appeal. They assess the performance characteristics of materials to ensure they meet the project's specific requirements.
  5. Analyze Project site specifications and constraints to develop efficient designs.
  6. Architectural engineers often serve as project managers, overseeing the construction process from start to finish. They collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and other professionals to ensure that the project is executed according to the plans and specifications. They monitor progress, address any issues or conflicts that arise, and ensure that the project stays within budget and meets the established timelines.
  7. Review and approve construction plans and give guidance on installation and operation of Project systems.
  8. Perform detailed analysis and testing of Project materials and systems to ensure structural integrity.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry standards and trends and integrate them into the design process.

Job Requirements

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field. (Master Degree will be preferred)
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural engineering or related field
  3. Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  4. Must Experience with CAD, Revit, AutoCAD, 3D rendering, software and other design tolls.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with other professionals on projects.
  7. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. The ability to diagram designs both manually and with computer-aided droughting.
  9. Excellent time management skills.
  10. An excellent working knowledge of science, mathematics, and engineering principles.
