Job Descriptions:

Job Purpose:

The DATC Project Assistant will closely work with MHPSS Coordinator, MHPSS/DATCs Manager, and Project Manager and will be responsible for managing/ supporting the MHPSS/ DAT component of the project in the targeted DATC, including capacity building of the field staff, and Monitoring/Supervision with on-the-job coaching/training of the field staff and coordination with relevant stakeholders for services mapping and referral pathway.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • DATC team will receive regular supervision case by case.
  • Manage the DATC team in DATC and support team building.
  • Closely coordinate with MHPSS/DATCs Manager and contribute for the DATC Project including supervision and monitoring of the project.
  • Closely work with local partner(s) relevant government focal points for the implementation and monitoring of DATC project.
  • Prepare training on relevant topics and support national trainers to roll out training.
  • In collaboration with local partners, engage community leaders, community-based organizations, and other service providers in supporting beneficiaries to access DATC services as well as ensuring their feedback for quality monitoring and accountability.
  • Lead the development of MHPSS/DATCs -related IEC materials Including training tools translation in Pashto & Dari.
  • Oversee monitoring and evaluation of DATC Project, and collection and analysis of program data.  
  • Deliver DAT reporting and case supervision report on a regular basis.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure that DATC Project operations are maintained in an effective, up to date, and accurate manner. 
  • Follow up on all payment requests in accordance with available budget lines. 
  • Take cash in advance for the DATC and prepare the clearance when needed. 
  • Coordinate with support functions like logistics, finance, and HR for program activities.    
  • Prepare all DATC Project PRs under different budget lines and do the proper documentation and assist in the timely disbursement of items to the project staff in the DATC. 
  • Manage program backup documentation and archive including official bills etc....

As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards.  Conducts work with the highest level of integrity.

Qualifications:

Essential:

Typically, a bachelor’s in economics, Business Administration, or Social Science. Preference will be given to the relevant educational background (Psychology).  

Desirable:

Administrative training.

Experience:

  • Typically, 2+ years of relevant experience in previous position in program administration with a non-governmental organization   
  • Good command of written and spoken local languages and English 
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint   

Experience tracking budgets and financial program management is desired.

Competency :

  • Knowledgeable of understanding the Project and programs
  • Training experience required; capacity and proven track record in national staff and partner training and capacity-building.
  • Strong organizational and supervisory skills
  • Ability to work within a team structure or independently, flexible, and can cope with stressful workload.
  • Honest, hardworking, and self-motivated
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within different cultural environments.
  • Fluency in English, Dari and or/ Pashto required,
