Job Descriptions:

1.           Basic Function and Scope:

 

Manages, directs, and coordinates exploration and appraisal activities in the Company's concession area.  Includes planning and directing all related geophysics, comprehensive geology, exploration well, Oil and gas block evaluation. Suggest priorities for the development of new fields and provide drilling recommendations.

Guide oil exploration activities related to the early Exploration Plan and ensure the necessary documentation, data, and reports, including department budget, business plan, work plan, project identification documents, and drilling plan. Establish the necessary control measures to ensure that the department members comply with the relevant work procedures, plans, and schedules.

             

2.           Tasks and Duties:

 

a. Manages and conducts the activities of assigned personnel in the Exploration Department.  Responsible for the department work plan and relevant WPB preparation. Performs supervisory duties at the level established by management for the position.

b. Participate in the overall oil and gas exploration strategic planning to improve the effectiveness of Afgchin exploration activities, optimize the oil and gas recovery rate, and improve. The scope covers all contract blocks and includes guidance on the study of existing geophysical data and related well data.

c. Recommends and directs the implementation of a variety of medium and long term exploration and development activities in new/undeveloped fields aiming at maximizing petroleum reserves and recovery. Includes recommending and directing all seismic processing and interpretation, logging interpretation, oil and gas testing to identify new structures and reservoirs.

d. Participates in the economic evaluation of petroleum in place prior to drilling and identifies the need for further seismic data. Sets priorities for the development of newfound fields based on economic feasibility, cost, and proximity to existing planned/production facilities. Includes assisting in preparing an inventory of development plan.

e. Acts as the focus of all geophysical and geological services of the Company and provides such services to other departments of Development and Production. Including identifying geophysical and geological data requirements, initiating and directing data acquisition, processing and reviewing results analysis, and ensuring accurate simulated geological modeling of the reservoir that are critical to management planning.

f. Guide departments to prepare exploration planning programs and annual budgets for all geophysical, geological, and exploration activities, and review and control expenditures according to approved budgets. To guide the preparation of the department activity summary, and incorporate it into the monthly quarterly report and year-end project summary.

g. Assist the HSSE department in ensuring that the Company's Occupational Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) policies are effectively implemented in all areas of exploration work under its control to reduce adverse trends and ensure that corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner. Work with the HSSE department to develop safety plans, supervise the implementation of HSSE programs, and report all accidents and incidents in the exploration area.

h. Understand new technologies and progress in geology, geophysics, reservoir engineering, and oil recovery process. Recommend the relevant training content to the department. Organize employees to attend professional conferences, seminars, and association meetings.

i. Perform other similar or related duties, such as participating in and guiding the scope of work and deliverables in tender, conducting technical bid evaluation, identifying acceptable bidders and recommended winning bidders, supervising contract management, including reviewing the progress of work and approving the Contractor's invoices; monitor and control department budget and expenditure, to provide the basis for major budget changes.

3.           Work Contacts:

Contact senior personnel in all areas of exploration and development to technical discuss and with other support departments to coordinate related work. Regular contact with upper management, and experts to discuss technical issues and propose exploration plans for the blocks. Contact service contractors and suppliers to clarify company requirements, negotiate contracts, and inspect and supervise work.

4.           Independence of Operation:

Work is directed independently according to the functional objectives. Managing departments by developing and controlling work plans. Report to the vice President and request for instructions.

5.           Supervisory Responsibility:

a. B.Sc. in Geology/Geophysics or equivalent.

b. More than 15 years of rich experience in exploration activities, including practical knowledge of exploration technology, reservoir geology, and geophysical data acquisition and interpretation. Many years of experience in international project operation.

c. working language is English.

d. Being in good physical health
