The head office of the organization is in Kabul, Afghanistan and delivers humanitarian services in the sectors of WASH, Good Governance, and Livelihood through its regional offices in Mazar, Herat, Jalalabad, and central zone in a decentralized manner.

Job Descriptions:

To conduct case working activities for children’s cases, GBV survivors and children with Specific Needs (PwSN) in the society, Returnees and host communities. To act according to the guiding principles of case management including using a survivor-centered approach, confidentiality, safety, do not harm and non-discrimination. To ensure that protection principles are understood, maintained and enforced.

Duties & Responsibilities

Case Working

  • Detect, counsel, and follow up individual cases identified during psychosocial activities or referred by other agencies.
  • Conduct psychosocial assessment of vulnerable cases, including environmental, emotional, behavioral, and social factors as well as resources and strengths that impact the individual well- being.
  • Conduct home visits to assess the living conditions of the cases.
  • Refer cases internally for legal assistance, psychological counselling, livelihood support or financial assistance, when needed.
  • Ensure coordination with the main service providers in the area of intervention for prompt referral, follow up and information sharing.
  • Manage, fill, archive specific forms for cases profiling, referral and weekly reporting ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Monitor and follow up the outcome of the material assistance provided by other partner agencies and services providers.
  • Be available to provide emergency assistance and basic emotional support for urgent cases.
  • Ensure that data protection protocol is respected.

Psychosocial activities

  • Support the Community Volunteers in organizing awareness sessions on protection issues and conduct collective PSS sessions and activities.

Reporting

  • Provide daily updates to the supervisor about new cases assessed.
  • File and report in detail on all cases with relevant information about the case, background, case plan, follow up and actions taken.
  • Provide weekly overview of case working activities on regular basis.

Meetings and Trainings

  • Participates in meetings and trainings in and outside the centers including case management meetings and case conferences.
  • Participates in daily staff meetings.
  • Participates in weekly internal case management meetings for Child Protection, GBV and PwSN.
  • Compile with RRAA, PSEA and Data protection polices, Cash and case management.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality during its processing with case beneficiaries.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidates should have bachelor’s in social science, or relevant field
  • At least have 2 years relevant experience
  • Ability to read, write and speak in local languages. English is Preferred
  • Previous Social working experience or training.
  • Skills, training and/or experience in management, social animation, and/or extension
  • research, Children education.
  • Skills of using personal computer and internet.
