The head office of the organization is in Kabul, Afghanistan, and delivers humanitarian services in the sectors of Livelihood, Good Governance, WASH, and Emergency through its four regional offices in Herat, Mazar, Jalalabad, and the central zone in a decentralized manner.

Job Descriptions:

  • Develop activity-based work plan to guide effective and efficient implementation of planned PSS activities in Child Friendly Space by the Facilitators.
  • Support in capacity building activities including training, coaching and mentorship to the CFS Facilitators on PSS including PFA to promote quality provision of PSS services.
  • Oversee the establishment and management of Child-Friendly Spaces (Mobile/ Static, community based) in Afghanistan including establishment of exit and sustainability strategy.
  • Ensure there is the integration of CP with other sectors in the Child-Friendly Spaces
  • Monitor regular PSS activities being conducted by community-based structures like CFS facilitators and provide additional technical support.  
  • Collaborating closely with other MHPSS partners and other sub-sectors leads to strengthen referral and timely response.
  • Ensure PSS services in the CFS are mainstream across child protection strategic interventions like case management/ family tracing and reunification and across other sub-sectors.
  • Provide education sessions to the families and community members on the importance of CFS on a regular basis and as deemed necessary using evidence-based information.
  • Carry out awareness raising activities on PSS issues with children, young people, and other community members for timely reporting of a child experiencing PSS issues.
  • Establish child-friendly Complaint and Feeback reporting (CFRM) mechanisms.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with all relevant stakeholders including the project partners and other NGOs, civil society groups, authorities, etc.
  • Ensure timely and proper documentation (filing, case studies, etc.), information management and reporting on CFS activities is done.
  • Participated in assessment activities and coordination meeting to share information on RRAA’s PSS intervention with children and families at district or province levels.
  • Any other task assigned by the line manager
     

Job Requirements:

  • Candidates should have a Diploma in Early childhood care, preferable bachelor’s degree in education, Sociology or Psychology or other related fields.
  • Minimum of 2-3-year experience.
  • Prior experience working with children and in emergency contexts.
  • able to manage team from 2- 4 person.
  • Must be able to employ positive methods of interaction with children and prevent inappropriate negative discipline or abuse.
  • Prior experience in NGO/INGO work preferred Necessary Skills and Competencies.
