The head office of the organization is in Kabul, Afghanistan and delivers humanitarian services in the sectors of WASH, Good Governance, and Livelihood through its regional offices in Mazar, Herat, Jalalabad, and central zone in a decentralized manner.

Job Descriptions:

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver EORE awareness programs tailored to the specific needs and demographics of target communities.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including local authorities, NGOs, and community leaders, to gather insights and input for program development.
  • Incorporate best practices and lessons learned from previous EORE initiatives into program design.
  • Develop and acquire mass media spots from UNICEF and DMAC.
  • Conduct community outreach activities to raise awareness about the risks of explosive ordinance and promote safety measures.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops, seminars, and other educational events to disseminate information on explosive ordnance risk reduction
  • Develop educational materials, such as brochures, posters, and videos, to support outreach efforts with coordination of DMAC and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide training sessions to community members, educators, and other relevant stakeholders on recognizing and reporting explosive ordnance with support of DMAC.
  • Train other employees and staff to assist with EORE activities and outreach efforts.
  • Conduct train-the-trainer sessions to build the capacity of local partners in delivering EORE programs independently.
  • Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness and impact of EORE programs.
  • Collect and analyze data on program outcomes, including changes in knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors related to explosive ordnance risk
  • Use evaluation findings to make recommendations for program improvements and adjustments.

Monitor and provide progressive reports of EORE awareness raising spots that is aired through mass media.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Social Sciences, Development Studies, or Demining/EOD.
  • Previous experience in explosive ordnance risk education, community engagement, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) principles and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Fluency in relevant languages spoken in the target communities is advantageous.
  • Experience working in humanitarian settings is preferred.
