The head office of the organization is in Kabul, Afghanistan, and delivers humanitarian services in the sectors of Livelihood, Good Governance, WASH, and Emergency through its four regional offices in Mazar, Herat, Jalalabad, and the central zone in a decentralized manner.

Job Description

  • Identify the level of severity of sickness, oriented cases to appropriate competence for good management
  • Provide direct nursing care to UAMs in GTC including dressing, catheterization, vital signs and medications.
  • Prepares the observation room and maintains the equipment
  • Follows guidelines and standards in providing first aid to emergency cases under orientation of the physician.
  • Monitors the cleanliness, sterilization and storage of routine immunization at clinic level and community level.
  • Educate patient about potential side effects of vaccines
  • Refer any ill patients to the appropriate clinic staff.
  • Assist other staff as needed and as requested by the supervisor, especially if patient flow is light.
  • Support regular community-based identification of malnutrition cases through screening for children
  • Conduct awareness raisings on well-being, hygiene and first aid for staff and UAMs in GTC
  • Contribute to creating culture committed to the safeguarding of children and adults and complaints with RRAA’s child safeguarding and adults at risk policies.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned by line manager

Job Requirements

  • At least diploma in Nursing
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in I/NGOs
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Willing to work in emergency situations and during night hours, weekends and holidays.
