Job Description

  • Design evidence-based prevention modules and guidelines, drawing on best practices globally and within Afghanistan.
  • Develop a comprehensive training curriculum for stakeholders, focusing on GBV prevention, community engagement, and social cohesion.
  • Lead the execution of training sessions for stakeholder and community facilitators, ensuring content relevance and participant engagement.
  • Provide technical assistance and follow-up support to trained partners, enhancing their capacity to implement prevention and response interventions effectively.
  • Conducting gender assessments and analyses to identify gaps and opportunities for gender mainstreaming within organizations or programs.
  • Developing and implementing gender-sensitive training programs and workshops to build the capacity of staff and stakeholders on gender equality and women's empowerment.
  • Providing technical assistance and guidance on gender mainstreaming strategies, policies, and practices.
  • Supporting organizations in developing action plans and monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track progress on gender equality and women's empowerment
  • Conducting research and data analysis to inform evidence-based gender programming and policy recommendations.
  • Collaborating with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community groups, to advocate for gender equality and women's rights.
  • Providing mentorship and coaching to staff members on gender-responsive programming and practices.
  • Supporting the design and implementation of gender-sensitive monitoring and evaluation systems to measure the impact of gender mainstreaming initiatives.
  • Contributing to knowledge sharing and learning activities within the organization or sector on best practices in gender and capacity building.
  • Representing the organization at relevant conferences, workshops, and events to share expertise and learn from others working in the field of gender and capacity building.
  • Any other task assigned by the management.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in gender studies, international development, social sciences, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience working in the field of gender equality, women's empowerment, and capacity building.
  • Strong knowledge of gender mainstreaming principles
  • Experience conducting gender assessments, analyses, and developing gender-sensitive training programs and tools
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs
  • Proficiency in English and national languages
