Job Descriptions:

Main duties and responsibilities:

The CBNP Technical Officer/Supervisor is responsible for supporting project activities of CBNP-Initial, C-WIFS and MNP trainings in all districts of Faryab Province. In addition to the specific duties outlined below, the CBNP Technical Officer/Supervisor will be responsible for providing technical support and supervision to the project team; contributing to reporting and data collection; initiating leading monitoring visits to support project activities and providing timely technical input.

  • Oversee the overall implementation of CBNP, C-WIFS and MNP
  • Work closely with the project staff/CBNP Master trainers in the field and also provide technical feedback to the Provincial Project manager so to achieve the project objectives in effective and efficient manner.
  •  Establish good coordination mechanism to HFs staff as well with community for proper implementation of the CBNP project related intervention
  • Support CHSs in conducing CHWs/volunteers CBNP refresher training.
  • Conduct supervision from the CBNP, C-WIFS and MNP training sessions conducted for CHSs and CHWs.
  • Support conducting of CMS session on HPs level and support CHSs/CHWs in conducting of this session.
  • Conduct Supportive Supervision from the GM session during CBNP implementation.
  • Ensure all required supplies done to the HPs during the C-WIFS and MNP campaigns.
  • Data collection of C-WIFS and MNP campaigns
  • Conducting of post campaign monitoring and share timely reports to the line manager
  • Work closely with CHSs and CHWs in supporting the project activities on HPs/HFs level
  • Conduct Supervision visits from C-WIFS and MNP campaigns and share findings on timely manner
  • Provide regular technical and administration support to project sites
  • Assist in developing and reviewing the action plans and provide timely feedback to the relative staff
  • Support Provincial Program Manager in the planning and reporting

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  1. Education
  • MD or equivalent medical degree certified by higher education authority in Afghanistan.
  • Nursing or Allied medical degree attested by MoPH (Only for local residents)
  1. Experience
  • 3-5 years of work experience in the health sector with minimum 1-3 years’ full time work experience in the field of nutrition and CBNP implementation is an asset/preferred.
  • Strong communications and leadership skills;
  • Good Report Writing Skills.
  • Fluent Dari and Pashto with excellent speaking and writing skills as well as knowledge of English language.
  • Proficient computing skills including word processing, spreadsheet design and PPT presentation.

Other skills required:

  • Efficiency, result-oriented and excellent management capabilities;
  • Capacity to perform effectively under pressure and harsh conditions; ability to handle confidential and politically sensitive issues in a responsible and mature manner;
  • Excellent capacity development and teamwork skills; cross-cultural and gender sensitivity;
  • Ability to travel throughout the country
  • Ability to use information technology effectively.
