Job Descriptions:

Responsibilities:

 

  • Identify key topics such as crop cultivation, soil management, water conservation, pest and disease control, livestock husbandry, and agricultural marketing for inclusion in the training curriculum.
  • Provide instruction on crop planting, irrigation methods, greenhouse management, animal care, and other aspects of sustainable agriculture, emphasizing locally adapted approaches and traditional farming methods.
  • Offer technical assistance and guidance to students on agricultural projects and activities, including farm planning, crop selection, livestock management, and soil testing.
  • Monitor the progress and performance of students through regular assessments, practical evaluations, and project reviews, using both qualitative and quantitative methods to measure learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
  • Collect feedback from students, stakeholders, and community members to inform program improvements and ensure the relevance and impact of agriculture training initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

 

  • Demonstrated experience in agricultural training, extension work, or rural development initiatives, with a focus on sustainable agriculture practices and smallholder farming systems.
  • Strong knowledge of agricultural principles, techniques, and technologies applicable to the Afghan context, including traditional farming methods and climate-resilient practices.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences, including students, farmers, community leaders, and government officials.
