SCI - Afghanistan
Save the Children has been working in Afghanistan since 1976. Our way of working close to people and on their own terms has enabled us to deliver lasting change to tens of thousands of children in the country. The UN Convention of the Rights of the Child is the basis of our work.
We are helping children get a better education, we make it possible for more boys and girls to attend school, we help children protect themselves and influence their own conditions. We work with families, communities and health workers in homes, clinics and hospitals to promote basic health in order to save lives of children and mothers
• Helps the Risk and compliance team in the preparation and implementation of the compliance reviews.
• Assist in performing compliance as per the instruction of the supervisor and as per the annual audit plan.
• With support from the Risk and compliance team, conducts interviews, reviews documents, and prepares working papers and audit draft reports.
• Assist in the application of audit procedures during the engagement to evaluate the control environment and recommend the proper course of action.
• Maintain and update the Risk and compliance department’s trackers.
• Maintain and update the filing system of the Risk and compliance department.
• Communicates the results of audits via oral presentation and written.
• Support in performing follow-up of recommendations to stakeholders.
• Perform related work as assigned by the Risk and Compliance Coordinator and head of the Audit and compliance department.
• Other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
• Child and adult safety appropriately reflected in risk management tools and guidance

QUALIFICATIONS
University degree in business administration, finance, law, is preferred for the role.

• Skill in collecting and analyzing complex data evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions.
• Skill in effective verbal and written communication, including active listening and presenting findings and recommendations.
