Job Descriptions:

General Description of Task:

SFL MCBP project aims to improve child nutritional outcomes by enhancing access to nutritious foods and increasing utilization of health and nutritional facilities and services.

SFL is seeking a Project Monitoring Assistant for Maternal and Child Benefit Program (MCBP) project funded by WFP. The Project Monitoring Assistant will play a key role in providing support to the overall project and working alongside to Project Manager and Program Management Team.

The Project Monitoring Assistance is responsible to monitor and report output and outcome-level progress of all Maternal Child Benefit and Program (MCBP) project activities related to WFP-sponsored project in which he/she is assigned. The main responsibility of the Monitoring Assistant is to monitor and evaluate the project activities on a continuous basis and give feedback to the Project Manager on progress of the activities within the scope of the project and in compliance with the guidelines and procedures of the organization

Job Requirements:

  • Having good behavior with community people especially with beneficiaries
  • Conduct regular monitoring visits to all project locations in targeted district (Warduj), completing work plan checklists, conducing spot check surveys and interviews project participants to gauge regular progress toward completing project activities.
  • Coordinate with project and operations staff to ensure that all project activities are being completed according to project work plans and in compliance with the donor-requirements.
  • Communicate and liaise with all WFP Tirth Party Monitoring (TPM) monitoring teams, as needed, to ensure project progress is completed according to project work plans and in line with WFP requirements.
  • Communicate and liaise, as needed, with community leaders and significant stakeholders to gauge project progress and report on any challenges that may arise.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly monitoring reports based on field and monitoring visits, per the requirements of SFL and WFP.
  • Developing and executing monthly and project monitoring plans in assigned villages in Warduj district of Badakhshan provinces.
  • Provide feedback on compliance reports are sent by TPM though WFP program or monitoring unit.
  • Collect data through use of qualitative and quantitative instruments for use in output and outcome-level evaluations to gauge project impact and success.
  • Collect data through use of various multimedia (Interview, FGD, pictures, video, etc.) to demonstrate project impact and success and to communicate to relevant and interested stakeholders the progress of SFL program implementation.
  • Communicate and liaise, as needed, with community leaders and significant stakeholders to gauge project progress.
  • Research and collect project impact and human-interest stories that may further demonstrate project impact and success.
  • Translate any interviews and/or human-interest stories collected in local languages into English to project manager and or program unit.
  • Assist data entry officers with entry, cleaning and data quality management of all data related to both monitoring and operations.
  • Maintain well-organized and through data storage and filing systems, per SFL requirements.
  • Assist the team in making project outcome and indicators for WFP’s project proposal.
  • Support project implementation alongside operations staff where needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by program leadership (Project Manager)
