Just for Afghan Capacity and Knowledge (JACK) is an independent, Non-Governmental, Non-Profit, And Non-Political and Non-Sectarian Organization working in Afghanistan in the areas of Capacity Building Education and Health with an aim at improving livelihoods and alleviating poverty. The organization is re-registered under the Ministry of Economy with registration number, 316 of January 18, 2006.  The organization works in collaboration with other line Ministries, NGOs, INGOs, and the donor communities. Our donors are USAID, UN, OCHA, and Ministries.

The Obstetrician & Gynecologist (Specialist) is responsible for managing complex medical cases, ensuring high-quality patient care, and overseeing surgical and non-surgical treatments. This role requires expertise in diagnosing, prescribing, and performing major surgeries while adhering to hospital protocols and patient safety standards. The incumbent will also play a key role in training and supervising medical and nursing staff, providing health education, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention procedures. is responsible for managing complex medical cases, ensuring high-quality patient care, and overseeing surgical and non-surgical treatments. This role requires expertise in diagnosing, prescribing, and performing major surgeries while adhering to hospital protocols and patient safety standards. The incumbent will also play a key role in training and supervising medical and nursing staff, providing health education, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention procedures.

• Managing complicated medical cases requires a thorough and coordinated approach to ensure effective treatment and patient safety.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation for continuity of care.
• Prescribe and ensure appropriate drugs and medical treatment.
• Perform major surgery for selective and emergency cases (C-section, Hysterectomy, tubectomy, ovarian cystectomy etc).
• Follow up of pre-operative and post-operative cases.
• On-the-job training/ Capacity Building mechanisms for newly joined doctors and midwives.
• Supervision of nursing staff and doctors at the DH.
• Health education to the women regarding to their problems.
• Provide ANC/PNC to high-risk mothers.
• Perform normal delivery and breath extraction if there is any difficulty.
• Accountable to the patient and have friendly behavior with the patient.
• Work within the hospital's rules and regulations.
• Implement induced/augmented labor if needed.
• Participate in training and meetings as needed.
• Perform related administrative duties and ensure patient’s documentation is completed. 
• Ensure that all procedures related to infection prevention are followed correctly. 
• Carry out ultrasound examinations as needed. 
• Perform other duties directed by the supervisor and line manager.
