Duties/Responsibilities: (Quality Control Engineer for Road)
Specific and key accountabilities and responsibilities outlined as below:
- Manage and organize the tasks and prepare detailed work plan (Weekly, Monthly and Annual)
- Prepare quality control manual, standards and procedures
- Review the design and drafting related tasks of the projects before the implementation stage
- Responsible for endorsing that the Road sections of the works are constructed in accordance with the design specification and approved drawings
- Ensuring all construction materials used and work performed are as per specifications
- Coordinate and collaborate with the Technician Engineer on required testing and the test results for the Roads section of the works
- Review and provide advice on technical specifications to ensure adherence to AASHTO and CRIDA standards.
- Review QA/QC site visit reports and materials testing reports to ensure sampling, testing and inspection of materials are carried out regularly and works are implemented in compliance with design specifications.
- To be familiar with Soil tests, coarse aggregate tests, Bituminous tests also with AASHTO and ASTM codes.
- Reviews and approves inspections, test plans and quality control plans from client/consultant.
- Identifies, analyzes and resolves problems and issues with quality assurance and control for site construction.
- Reviews and approves the sub-contractors' quality control reports, and conducts proper audit as well.
- Prepare daily QC report, weekly QC coordination meeting, monthly progress report, deficiency report, material supplying report and final inspection reports of onsite work
- Day- to - day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of subcontractors
- Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, labor any other necessities
- Overseeing quality control, health and safety matters on site.
- Assist the project manager in daily work.
- Coordinate and cooperate with relevant parties other site Engineers.
- Manage and organize all engineering files and technical documents.
- Undertaking any other duties as assigned by the Project Manager or Project Management Director.
