Job Descriptions:

Job Purpose: 

Under the direct supervision of the WASH Officer, the Assistant WASH will contribute to the Data collection, Entry, and data analysis.

Main Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information and establishing entry priorities.
  • Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
  • Verifies entered data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or re-entering data; combining data from both systems when account information is incomplete; purging files to eliminate duplication of data.
  • Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners.
  • Updating online database/reporting system with Submission of actual monthly, weekly, and quarterly reports
  • Type data provided directly from customers.
  • Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes.
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents.
  • Update existing data.
  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested.
  • Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.
  • Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost.
  • Arrange the project’s hard and soft filling system.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.

  • Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance and ethics throughout the International Medical Corps. As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards.  Conducts work with the highest level of integrity

Job Requirements:

Qualifications : 

University degree in Computer science or equivalent.

Experience : 

  • 1 Year of Proven experience as a data entry clerk or relevant.
  • Fast typing skills: Knowledge of touch-typing systems is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
  • Basic understanding of databases
  • Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills

Flexibility/adaptability: This requires the candidate to have the sufficient capacity to adapt to the IMC work methodology and different work environments (office and field) that the candidate might have later during a mission.

Important Point: You will be asked to travel or be deployed anywhere within the program area to perform services. There may be some insecure areas where you may need to travel and perform the activity without any hesitation in coordination with the security department.
