Job Descriptions:

The Out reach Vaccinator is responsible for administering vaccines in accordance with the national immunization schedule to prevent vaccine-preventable diseases. Ensures vaccine supplies are available and kept in proper temperature, maintaining accurate immunization records, conducting community outreach and awareness sessions, and supporting both routine and campaign-based immunization activities, provides vaccination services considering humanitarian principles (Humanity, impartiality, Neutrality and independency), provides immunization services of targeted  group (women and children)
Ensures vaccine supplies are available and kept in proper temperature
Fills and submits monthly vaccine repot in MoPH/EPI reporting forms to CARE sub office.
Maintains filling system and keeps the records.
Requests vaccines as per guideline and catchment area population.
Keeps stock register to all vaccine supplies.
Perform any additional tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor
 

This includes to provide immunization services for the women and children in health facility and outreach area.

Monitor daily the temperature of vaccines .

Maintain the equipment of the outreach and in fixed vaccination center.


Provide good and respectful interaction with clients in outreach areas.
Ensure 100% adherence to safe injection practices when administering vaccines in outreach areas.
Properly dispose of needles and used materials in the safety box in outreach areas.
Educate clients about vaccines and emphasize the importance of keeping vaccination cards
Record vaccine temperatures on paper at the beginning and end of each day.
Document administered vaccines in the relevant registers and tally sheets in outreach areas.
Submit monthly reports to the designated supervisor on time in outreach areas.
Continuously improve professional skills and knowledge.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of the respective department.

Objective 2: Conduct outreach sessions and routing immunization in the outreach area of the BHC
1. Carry out outreach sessions in the outreach areas served by the BHC
2. Responsible for administering vaccines to individuals in the outreach areas of the BHC.
3. Ensure that the community receives regular immunizations to prevent the spread of diseases.
4.  Responsible for managing vaccination schedules and maintaining accurate records.
5.  Engage with the community to promote awareness of the importance of immunization
6. To trace the missed children, follow up the absentees of nutrition program and support the CHVs in referring the BNFs to the BHCs for multiple purposes.

Possession of a certificate of completion for the vaccination course.
Required qualities: friendliness, patience, and attentiveness.
Compliance with and respect for current applicable laws and regulations.

Consuming narcotics, alcoholic beverages, or tobacco.

Job Requirements:


Graduate from 12th class, preferred to higher educate (vaccinator, nurse, midwife).
At least 2 years of experience is required.

Fluency in written and spoken local languages; 

Iniatil EPI training 

Knowledge of local environment and willingness and ability to travel to remote health facilities and villages;

Work Experience: 
• The Candidate must have at least two-years’relevant work experience in International NGOs and BPHS related health facilities or similar working context/environment. 
Languages Skills: 
• Fluency in spoken and written Dari and Pashtu is a requirement. English Language skills is a plus point.
