Ariana Rise Construction Company (ARCC) is seeking a qualified and experienced Road Design Engineer to join its Head Office in Kabul.
The Road Design Engineer will be responsible for preparing detailed engineering designs, drawings, and technical documents for Baghlan-Bamyan Road.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in road and highway design, the ability to interpret and develop complex road alignment, pavement, and construction drawings, and excellent coordination skills to work closely with field teams, project managers, and clients.

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in road design and drafting within the construction or infrastructure sector.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSc required; Master’s preferred).
Strong knowledge of road and highway design principles, including pavement, alignment, drainage, and related structures.

Ability to perform engineering calculations related to road geometry, structural elements, and hydraulics where required.
Excellent knowledge of BoQ preparation, technical specifications, and project documentation for road projects.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Fluency in Dari or Pashto, with a working knowledge of English.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed design drawings, plans, and specifications specifically for roads, highways, and related infrastructure (including bridges and drainage systems).
Develop and review engineering calculations, road design reports, and bills of quantities (BoQ).
Ensure all road designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client/donor requirements.
Collaborate closely with project managers, surveyors, and site engineers to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of road design documents.
Use design and drafting software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) to produce precise and professional road and highway drawings.
Conduct site visits to collect data, verify road alignment, pavement design, and other site-specific requirements.
Review “as-built” drawings and provide design adjustments as required for road works.
Maintain organized records of road design files, revisions, and approvals.
