The Rural and Rehabilitation Development Program Organization (RRDPO) is a registered, nonprofit, non-political, non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable communities across Afghanistan. Established in 2014 and registered with the Ministry of Economy, RRDPO works to address urgent humanitarian needs while fostering long-term community development and resilience.
With operational offices in Kabul, Nangarhar, Laghman, Nuristan, and Kunar, RRDPO implements multi-sector programs through its relevant departments of Education, Health, Social Affairs, Rehabilitation, Livelihoods, Food & Nutrition, and Emergency Response. Background
Under the Maternal and Child Benefit Program (MCBP), the Nutrition-Sensitive Livelihoods (NSL) component aims to enhance the food security, nutrition, and resilience of vulnerable households in selected districts. The NSL component focuses on building the practical and entrepreneurial capacities of targeted beneficiaries so they can engage in income-generating and nutrition-improving activities that contribute to sustainable household wellbeing.
2. Purpose of the Job
The Livelihood Trainer/Coach will strengthen the economic resilience and self-reliance of targeted beneficiaries by delivering nutrition-sensitive livelihood training and providing continuous coaching and mentorship. The role focuses on enhancing beneficiaries’ soft skills, financial literacy, and business and entrepreneurial capacities, enabling them to establish, manage, and expand sustainable income-generating activities that improve household nutrition and food security.
Guided by approved training manuals and coaching frameworks, the Livelihood Trainer/Coach will deliver high-quality, context-appropriate, and participatory training, adapting content and methodologies to the literacy level, experience, and needs of participants. The position emphasizes hands-on learning, individualized coaching, and systematic follow-up to ensure effective application of skills, contribute to improved livelihoods, and support the objectives of the Nutrition-Sensitive Livelihoods component.
