Afghan Peace Builders Humanitarian Organization APBHO has emerged as a non-governmental, non-political, not-for-profit organization in April 2019 with its long experience as a team (Youth Council) advocating for the rights of communities especially children and women affected by conflicts, and humanitarian crisis in fragile settings.
Most of APBHO’s peacebuilding efforts focus on community-based conflict resolution and environmental peace-building on grass-root level. APBHO aims to shift repressive gender norms and equip citizens with the skills to resolve any type of differences and conflicts non-violently.
Afghan Peace Builders Humanitarian Organization (APBHO) strategically implements sustainable economic empowerment/asset creation, time-critical emergency responses with various commodities including Food and Non-Food Items, research, advocacy, and promotion of peace projects with a cross-cutting focus on youth and women.
Job Description
The Bag Making trainer is mainly responsible to train, coach and build the POCs capacities in producing different types, sizes, designs and quality of bags.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize, maintain and manage class systems in proper working condition.
- Provide technical trainings in bag making vocation.
- Prepare curriculum and training material for bag making.
- Conduct on the job trainings to trainees.
- Coaching the trainees in producing different types, designs and quality bags.
- Conduct market assessment for the demand and supply of different types, designs and quality of bags available in the market.
- Conduct value chain analysis for the bag making business to understand where the training participants can add value to the products.
- Conduct trainings on bag making business to increase participants’ knowledge on the whole process of bags making and how they get benefit through establishment of the business.
- Supervise and monitor the participants to assure their capacity improvement.
- Conduct regularly monitoring of the facilities needed in the vocational centers.
- Provide weekly reports to the project manager.
- Any other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.
Job Requirements
Minimum Diploma/ Secondary level of education.
Minimum of 2 year of relevant experience at national level
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent training skills and knowledge of the current training methodologies.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish working relations with target communities and the project team.
