We work in a variety of sectors including health and nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), good governance, capacity building, social justice awareness-raising, advocacy, and human rights promotion and protection. HAS- has been helping vulnerable Afghan communities since 2005 through launching different interventions in more than 30 provinces of Afghanistan.

Job Description:

1. Nutrition Service Delivery
2. Implement nutrition services including admission, follow-up, and discharge of SAM (Severe Acute Malnutrition) and MAM (Moderate Acute Malnutrition) cases according to the IMAM Policy.
3. Rune online Kobo system day to day.
4. Ensure proper implementation of OTP/TSFP and all nutrition services according to national and international guidelines (IMAM).
5. Support the Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) program.
6. Clinical and Technical Tasks
7. Conduct anthropometric measurements (weight, height, MUAC, edema check).
8. Prescribe and distribute therapeutic and supplementary foods (RUTF, RUSF, Super Cereal, LNS, SNF, MNP).
9. Administer routine medicines (Syp- Amoxil, Antibiotics, Vitamin A, deworming, etc.) as per protocol.
10. Monitor clinical signs and nutritional progress of admitted children.
11. Counselling and Education
12. Provide MIYCN (Maternal Infant and Young Children Nutrition) counselling to mothers/caregivers.
13. Deliver key health, nutrition, and hygiene promotion messages.
14. Participate in food demonstrations and community awareness activities.
15. Reporting and Documentation
16. Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly records of admissions, discharges, and follow-ups.
17. Daily completion of the kobo system in compliance with established procedures.
18. Document program indicators (admission, discharge, cure rate, defaulter rate, mortality).
19. Submit accurate and timely reports to the line supervisor.
20. Coordination and Support
21. Work closely with community volunteers and health workers.
22. Share information and coordinate with health facility staff.
23. Support monitoring and evaluation activities.
24. Close coordination with all stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• At least 4-year experience especially in nutrition Project.
• Have demonstrated full proficiency and practical experience in utilizing the kobo system.
• Demonstrate sufficient understanding of job responsibilities in Pashto, Dari and English languages.
