Job Description

  1. Check deliveries for accuracy, quality, and expiry dates.
  2. Properly store items according to temperature and storage guidelines.
  3. Track the stock received and distributed and update stock cards at the beginning and end of each day
  4. Assist in regular stock counts and inventory reconciliations.
  5. Distribute the appropriate food ration and other supplies to the children and PLW in the feeding programme.
  6. Assist with timely stock requests as needed to avoid stock outs.
  7. Ensure safe, organized, and clean storage conditions.
  8. Report any stock discrepancies, damages, or near-expiry items to the supervisor.
  9. Follow all pharmacy and warehouse safety protocols.
  10. Ensure orderly and fair distribution while maintaining crowd control at the nutrition site.
  11. Prevent duplication or misuse of nutrition supplies.
  12. Work closely with nutrition nurses, screeners, and site supervisors during distribution days.
  13. Assist in labeling, packing, and dispatching Foods and medicines.
  14. Keep daily records of all supplies issued to nutrition programme beneficiaries (distribution lists)
  1. Prepare daily/weekly reports on activities and any necessary reports as requested.
  2. Attend training and team meeting as requested.
  3. Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager.

Quality Management

  1. Ensure good hygiene standards are kept within nutrition facilities
  2. Ensure accurate record keeping for reporting
  3. Ensure First Expiry First Out (FEFO) and First In First Out (FIFO) principles are applied.
  4. Compile stock specific reports as required

 

Coordination and External Representation

  1. Ensure good coordination between the nutrition team and other health and nutrition staff and community and site volunteers in the same catchment area

 

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Diploma in nursing
  • Training in IMAM, Stock management.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 2 year's work experience

Languages:

  • Written and spoken Dari and Pashtu
  • Ability to write basic English (names, numbers etc)

  • Attention to detail and thorough
  • Analyzing information
