District Officers (Nangarhar)

Vision Development Organization (VDO), founded in 2015 by Afghan women leaders, is a national, women-led NGO dedicated to advancing the dignity, resilience, and leadership of women, youth, and marginalized communities. Despite Afghanistan’s complex humanitarian and governance challenges, VDO has grown into a trusted, principled, and adaptive organization, delivering programs in protection, education, livelihoods, social inclusion, and community development across multiple provinces. Anchored in integrity, accountability, and operational excellence, VDO upholds strong governance, safeguarding, and compliance standards while championing women’s leadership and equitable, high-quality service delivery. 

• Supervise all field-level operations including registration, distribution, and monitoring activities
• Ensure compliance with WFP guidelines, SOPs, and protection standards
• Coordinate daily activities of field staff, including registrars, distributors, and enumerators
• Monitor distribution sites to ensure transparency, efficiency, and dignity
• Verify beneficiary targeting and prevent duplication or fraud
• Compile and submit district-level operational reports
• Liaise with local authorities and community leaders
• Identify operational challenges and provide timely solutions

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of supervisory experience
• preferably within the NGO sector or similar organizations.
• Experience in managing food distribution projects or similar humanitarian assistance programs.
• Proven track record of coordinating with various departments to ensure operational alignment and compliance.

Language Skills:

• Knowledge of Dari or Pashto.
