About ACDO
Asia Community Development Organization (ACDO) is an Afghan non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit humanitarian organization established in 2014 and registered with the Government of Afghanistan under the supervision of the Ministry of Economy (MoEc) with a mission to provide humanitarian and development assistance to the vulnerable, at-risk, and underserved people throughout the country.
ACDO responds to the needs of deprived and marginalized rural and urban communities by managing and utilizing the available scarce resources in a well-organized, efficient, effective, transparent, and dignified manner to enhance resilience, boost access to education, health services, and infrastructure, ensure food and livelihood security, and promote social protection and inclusion.
ACDO has an active presence in most parts of the country and intends to expand its operations to the remaining provinces, as to transform itself into a leading and developed organization that will deliver to and support large number of people who have been affected by the long-protracted and sudden on-set emergencies and regardless of the hardest circumstances that exist in Afghanistan, ACDO has managed to deliver humanitarian and development assistance in most of country.
Job Description
Field Supervision & Program Implementation
- Conduct regular and frequent field visits to project sites (schools, communities, distribution points).
- Directly supervise and oversee implementation of project activities, ensuring adherence to approved plans and standards.
- Monitor school feeding distributions, ensuring correct quantities, quality, and targeting of beneficiaries.
- Ensure daily presence at key activity sites during implementation periods.
- Verify attendance of students and participation in project-supported activities.
- Ensure proper utilization of food commodities and prevent misuse or diversion.
- Provide on-the-spot guidance to teachers, school committees, and community representatives.
- Identify implementation challenges and take immediate corrective actions in coordination with supervisors.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, protection, and accountability standards at the field level.
Basic Reporting & Coordination Support
- Prepare brief daily/weekly field updates on activities and observations.
- Report any issues, delays, or irregularities to the District Supervisor or Field Coordinator.
- Support basic data collection and verification (attendance, distribution records).
- Coordinate with school staff, community leaders, and field teams for smooth implementation.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with District Supervisors, teachers, and community representatives.
- Share monitoring findings and recommendations with relevant teams.
- Support communication between field teams and the central office.
Safeguarding & Protection
- Ensure adherence to safeguarding, child protection, and gender-sensitive approaches.
- Report any protection concerns or violations.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, or related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in field-based program implementation or supervision.
- Experience in school feeding or NGO programs is highly preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong field supervision and observation skills.
- Practical understanding of program implementation in rural/remote settings.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
- Problem-solving and quick decision-making abilities.
- Fluency in local languages (Pashto/Dari); basic English is an advantage.
Key Deliverables:
- Effective supervision of field activities

- Verified field observations and activity updates
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Frequency and quality of field supervision visits
- Quality of program implementation at the site level
- Timely identification and resolution of field issues
- Compliance with project standards and procedures
- Minimal cases of misuse, errors, or irregularities
Working Conditions:
- Fully field-based position with extensive travel to schools and communities
- Requires continuous presence in project sites during implementation
- Work in challenging and remote environments.
