Job Descriptions:

  1. Ensure that GAAC Avsec training and development policy and procedures are maintained:
    • Conduct training needs analysis
    • Identify and assess the training needs of the organization through job analysis, career paths and consultation with managers.
    • Develop individualized and group training programs that address specific business needs.
    • Develop training manuals that target tangible results.
    • Implement effective and purposeful training methods.
    • Evaluate organizational performance to ensure that training is meeting business needs and improving performance.
    • Assess employees’ skills, performance, and productivity to identify areas of improvement.
  2. Management of the training centre:
    • Regional training officers appointed and competent to deliver training at centres
    • Number of learners that complete the required training programmes
    • Learner achievements recorded and input provided to training systems and reports
    • Customer requirements met in specific training interventions at regional airports
    • Implement actions to ensure approval of the Training Centres
    • Measure effectiveness of training provided and the application of learning in the workplace
  3. Training Organization approval obtained and maintained:
    • Compliance to MOTA requirements
    • ASTO approval established and maintained
    • Facilitator and Assessors registered
    • Learner achievement reports maintained
    • Facilitator, Assessment, and moderation reports submitted
    • Avsec Instructor certified
    • Submit annual audits as per NCASTP requirements
  4. Manage the budget/expenses:
    • Effectively manage the training budget.
    • Check, analyse and explain major variances to budget on a monthly basis
    • Ensure that expense mandates follow audit procedures
    • Prepare annual input on estimated management development for business units
  5. Staff management and development:
    • All team members have clearly defined job profile s aligned to manager profile
    • Regular goal review completed to assess achievement of results
    • Support, coaching, and mentoring is continuously provided to ensure that objectives are met
    • Completed development plans for each employee
    • Appropriate allocation of resources to meet operational demands
    • Ensure that events/activities taking place in team are effectively communicated within team and to other teams requiring the information
    • Ensure adequate succession plan to meet

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Education/Training Management
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop training materials
  • Ability to prepare and present reports to director and project manager level
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, email and the Internet
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Co-operative and supportive team player 
  • The ability to deliver training to all levels of staff including Afghan staff, International staff and senior company directors.
  • Experience in HR, training or administration is advantage
