progress for women and girls in Afghanistan. RRSWO acts on the fundamental premise that women and girls have the right to live a life free of discrimination, violence and poverty, and that gender equality is central to achieving development with reach, sizable expertise and significant resources. For too long, women have been forced to stand on the sidelines, whether the issue is political leadership, safety in conflict zones, protection from violence or access to public services. Now women must come to the centre as leaders, advocates and agents of change.

Job Descriptions:

The WASH Officer will be responsible for implementation of WASH activities within the UNOMAN project in Ghor province,

  • Smooth running of WASH activities in the targeted  in Ghor province and report to Program Manager.
  •  Planning and organization of WASH construction activities in the targeted district, such as construction of water point, latrines and hygiene promotion activities.
  • Good relation with the provincial authorities and WASH partners and participate in all relevant meetings.

Job Requirements:

  • University degree or with 3 years WASH and development experiences
  •  Highly proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Good knowledge of gender issues.
  •  Experience the integrating gender perspective in the project plans and monitoring.
  • Ability to work as a team.
  • Willingness to travel to the provinces as required.
  •  Familiar with the work of NGOs.
