We are looking for a skilled Chinese-to-English translator to join our dynamic translation team. The translator will be responsible for translating documents and other materials from Chinese to English and vice versa. The ideal candidate will possess excellent command of both languages, have a firm understanding of cultural nuances, and be able to deliver accurate translations within deadlines.

• Text Translation: Responsible for translating documents, files, articles, etc., from one language to another, ensuring accuracy and fluency in the translation.
•  Handling Specialized Terminology: Process texts related to specific industries or fields, ensuring the correct use and conveyance of specialized terminology.
• Maintaining Confidentiality: Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information and documents, adhering to relevant confidentiality regulations and ethical guidelines.
• Client Communication: Collaborate with clients, clarify translation requirements, explain translation choices, and ensure the fulfillment of client expectations.
• Proofreading and Revising: Regularly review and revise one's own work and that of other translators to ensure the final translation quality.
• Interpretation: Provide CI or SI for meetings.
• Mastery of Specialized Terminology: Understand and accurately express specialized terminology in various fields to ensure the accuracy and fluency of verbal interpretation.
• Communication and Coordination: Communicate with individuals from different language and cultural backgrounds, ensuring effective information transfer and understanding.
• Emergency Handling: Handle potential emergencies, such as technical malfunctions or comprehension difficulties, during interpretation

• At least 5 years’ work experience of being translator/ interpreter.
• Graduation with a bachelor's or master’s degree in Conference Interpreting or Translation.
• Familiar with the petroleum industry.
• Proficiency in English as a working language.
• With excellent interpreting and translation skills.
• Proficiency in CAT tools.
• CATTI or NATTI-certified translator or interpreter is preferred.
• Strong ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent organizational skills are needed for managing workload and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to produce accurate work.
• Excellent to work in a multi-cultural environment.
• Proven work experience as a translator, preferably in a similar role.
• Fluency in Chinese and English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of Chinese and English grammar, syntax, and idiomatic expressions.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in translation software and tools is a plus.
• Degree in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, or a related field is preferred.

• Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with industry-specific terminology (e.g., legal, medical, technical).
• Experience in localization and adaptation of content for different regions.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in translation
