About BARAN:

Bu Ali Rehabilitation and Aid Network (BARAN) is a nongovernmental, non-political and independent organization. BARAN has been established in 27.7.2006 registered with the Ministry of Economy (MoEc), Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), Ministry of Education (MoE) , Ministry of labour, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled (MoLSAMD) and Ministry of Women Affairs (MoWA) in order to deliver standard health care, social and educational services including conducting researches. Special attention is given for the community development by promoting capacity building programs.

Job Descriptions:

  • Monthly Performance review of the HF staff in terms of Target and achievements based on project indicator
  • To do Weekly RMNCAH data reporting and achievement maintaining above 95%, based on monthly reporting formats.
  • Applying 100% planned supervisions and follow up of all RMNCAH related activities.
  • Apply Supervision and monitoring reporting
  • Strictly Supervise implementation of 100% RMNCAH activities by Midwives and backups  
  • Apply HF verification and community verification to ensure zero discrepancy rate
  • Ensure above 95% performance rate across all indicators
  • Maintain and perform motivational strategy at HF level
  • Sharing supervision plans with all departments and contributing in supply of logistics during supervision of HFs.
  • Strict actions to be taken in case of under 95% performance during review
  • Weekly overall performance report to technical manager including next week plans and activities
  • Continuous plan evaluation and review of the RMNCAH activities and enhance of quality service delivery 
  • Zero tolerance in delay and duplication of activities and reporting
  • Responsible for the overall RH activities of the project
  • Facilitates needs assessments, planning and implementation of reproductive health services and provides instructions as needed
  • Field verification and outreach activity 
  • Ensure that quality services for ANC, PNC, delivery care and family planning are provided in the health facilities and communities
  • Facilitate development of a plan to regularly supervise the health facilities and communities providing maternal/newborn care services & provide on the job training to the staff
  • Accountable to maintain effective coordination and close communication with other entities or stakeholders involved in reproductive and maternal child health activities like provincial RH officer of PPHD, health sections of different provincial department, UN agencies, NGOs and others
  • Ensure representation on behalf of the organization in provincial and central level meetings, workshops and other sessions
  • Ensure knowledge and skills update opportunities for project staff regarding reproductive health as per related guidelines, training manuals and policies of HFs considering project needs and recommendations.
  • Any other tasks and responsibilities as required for the implementation of the project and requested by direct supervisor and/or main office authorities.

 

Job Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of proven experience in the field RH and public health;
  • MD or Midwife degree;
  • Ability to supervise of all HFs under BARAN project in Ghor
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English Dari and Pashto both verbally and in writ
  • Ability to cope with stress work under difficult circumstances and meet deadlines strong communications and leadership skills;
  • Fluent English, Pashto, and Dari with excellent speaking and writing skills;
