Western ISP Services Company began its business operation as a hardware and network solutions providing company in January 2016, and the company has developed the team for running ISP business during the year of 2017 and collaborated with leading ISP and GSM companies in Afghanistan. The Company invested in ISP section and in a short period of time it has built its infrastructure to operate as an independent ISP company and acquired its ISP license from Ministry of Communication and information technology – ATRA (Afghanistan Telecommunication Regulatory Authority in May 2022. Western is focusing exclusively in high quality and cost-effective internet services  across Afghanistan. We are advancing on a tremendous pace and with involvement of skilled and experienced people working in the organization. Western is aimed to provide solutions and ISP services for all sectors and sections in Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:

The Legal Advisor will provide comprehensive legal support and guidance on a wide range of issues, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, managing legal risks, and protecting the company's interests. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law, with specific experience in the telecommunications or internet service provider sector.

Job Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Legal Compliance:

    • Ensure the company complies with all relevant local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
    • Monitor changes in legislation and advise management on their implications.
  2. Contract Management:

    • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders.
    • Ensure all contracts align with the company's policies and legal requirements.
  3. Intellectual Property:

    • Manage the protection of the company’s intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
    • Handle registration processes and resolve any intellectual property disputes.
  4. Dispute Resolution and Litigation:

    • Manage and resolve legal disputes and litigation involving the company.
    • Represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiate settlements when appropriate.
  5. Corporate Governance:

    • Advise on corporate governance matters, including board meetings, shareholder relations, and compliance with corporate laws.
    • Draft and review corporate documents and policies.
  6. Regulatory Affairs:

    • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and standards.
    • Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports.
  7. Employment Law:

    • Provide legal advice on employment-related matters, including employee contracts, policies, and dispute resolution.
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  8. Risk Management:

    • Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
    • Conduct legal risk assessments and provide training to staff on legal and compliance issues.
