Job Descriptions:

Job Purpose:

Administer EPI services to all children and woman according to EPI policy through SHCs/MHTs.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage cold chain system according to EPI protocols.
  • Support the provision of primary health care within the community.
  • Counsel and educate patients, the family, and community about immunization and in relevant areas of health.
  • Share knowledge, skill, and expertise with medical, midwifery and nursing students and all professional staff concerning their job requirements.
  • Perform limited, select administrative duties such as patient charting, recording, and reporting of data, clinic and/or facility management, or coordination of specific educational or outreach programs.
  • Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives; continuous quality improvement initiative; safety, environmental, and infection prevention standards.
  • Identify and report immediately any problem which interferes in the delivery of services or in achieving the program objectives to his/her immediate supervisor.
  • Participate in weekly meeting of health facility to share information and discuss the program progress.

  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.

  • Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance and ethics throughout the International Medical Corps. As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards.  Conducts work with the highest level of integrity.

Safeguarding:

  • It is all staff’s shared responsibility and obligation to safeguard and protect populations with whom we work, including adults who may be particularly vulnerable and children. This includes safeguarding from the following conduct by our staff or partners: sexual exploitation and abuse; exploitation, neglect, or abuse of children and adults at risk; and any form of trafficking in persons.

Qualifications:

12th grade + have the three months certificate of EPI training or 11 days EPI refresher training /EPI department of PPHDs.

Experience:

Three months in the same filed, preference will be given to the locals of duty station.

Competency:

Fluency in local languages is required.

Computer proficiency will be to our advantage.
