Organization Overview:
EHDO is a non-profit, humanitarian organization based in the center of Daikundi Province, Afghanistan. Our mission is to improve the living standards of disadvantaged women and families through the provision of training, resources, and economic opportunities.
Job Summary:
EHDO is seeking a qualified Poultry Production Instructor to provide training to 50 underprivileged women in Nili City. The instructor will be responsible for teaching the women how to properly operate and maintain 50 incubators that will be distributed by EHDO. The training will cover all aspects of poultry production, including incubator operation, hatchery management, and efficient poultry rearing techniques.
1. The skills required for the installation and operation of various types of poultry production equipment.
2. Comprehensive training for 50 beneficiaries on chicken healthcare, vaccination, chicken rearing practices, and standard chicken management.
3.Continuous monitoring of all small-scale poultry operations.
4. Providing advisory support to the beneficiaries on production-related issues.
5. Ongoing engagement and collaboration with the 50 program beneficiaries.
6.Preparation of teaching and learning materials.
7.Visits to 5 villages where the beneficiaries are located.
8.Monitoring of sales, revenue, and small-scale production outputs.
9.Preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
10.Teamwork with other project colleagues.
11.Ability to work effectively in any situation and time.
1. Minimum 3 years of experience in poultry production and training
2. Strong knowledge of incubator technology and hatchery management
3. Excellent communication and teaching skills
4. Familiarity with the local cultural context and ability to work with underprivileged women
5. Fluency in the local language (Dari and English) is preferred
6. Must be a university graduate in poultry and animal husbandry.
