Job Descriptions:

  1. Safety System Design and Implementation:

• Conducted pre-operational risk assessments on new sites and designed risk mitigation measures.

  • Design and implement safety systems and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  1. Project Safety Management:
  • Oversee safety aspects of engineering projects.
  • Conduct safety reviews and risk assessments.
  1. Technical Support:
  • Provide technical support for safety equipment and infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical safety issues.
  1. Environmental Impact Assessments:
  • Conduct and monitor environmental impact assessments.
  • Develop and implement mitigation plans.
  1. Health and Safety Audits:
  • Conduct health and safety audits.
  • Identify non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
  1. Incident Analysis and Reporting:
  • Investigate incidents and near misses.
  • Recommend engineering controls to prevent recurrence.
  1. Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure engineering activities comply with regulations.
  • Implement changes to maintain compliance.
  1. Safety Training and Workshops:
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs.
  • Conduct workshops on safety best practices.
  1. Emergency Preparedness:
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans.
  • Conduct drills and simulations.
  1. Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote new safety technologies and methodologies.
  1. Collaboration and Communication:
  • Integrate HES principles into engineering activities.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Any other task assigned by the line supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  1. Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
  1. Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years in safety management, preferably in engineering/construction.
  • Experience in safety system design and implementation.
  • Conducting environmental impact assessments and health and safety audits.
  1. Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
  • Proficiency in risk assessments and mitigation measures.
  • Technical skills in safety equipment troubleshooting.
  • Incident analysis and reporting.
  • Emergency preparedness planning.
  1. Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented.

 

  1. Language Skills:
  • Fluent in Pashto and Dari, English, with excellent speaking and writing skills;

 

  1. Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work in challenging environments.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites.
  1. Desirable Attributes:
  • Leadership in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in delivering safety training programs.
  • Strong collaboration skills with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
