Project Background (MHPSS):
Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) is an integral part of International Medical Corps’ (IMCs’) response, MHPSS department of IMC Afghanistan started Drug Addiction Treatment Centers DATCs support program as part of MHPSS specialized service response in Afghanistan. IMC provides MHPSS services at all four tiers of the IASC MHPSS intervention Pyramid, that includes MHPSS tertiary care. Pretreatment raising awareness program will be connected to DATCs inpatient care, with a posttreatment community follow ups and psychosocial rehabilitation program.
Job Purpose:
The DATC Project Assistant will closely work with MHPSS Coordinator, MHPSS/DATCs Manager, and Project Manager and will be responsible for managing/supporting the MHPSS/ DAT component of the project in the targeted DATC, including capacity building of the field staff, and Monitoring/Supervision with on-the-job coaching/training of the field staff and coordination with relevant stakeholders for services mapping and referral pathway.
