Job Description

Scope of Work:

 Training and Capacity Building

  • Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for PSS counselors.
  • Develop training materials, including manuals, guidelines, and interactive resources.
  • Conduct workshops, seminars, and training sessions on various aspects of psychosocial support.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments.

Development of Training Materials

  • Create and update training materials tailored to the needs of PSS counselors.
  • Ensure that materials are evidence-based, culturally appropriate, and relevant to the context.
  • Collaborate with other experts to incorporate best practices and new developments in the field.

 Practical Sessions and Support

  • Facilitate practice sessions to allow counselors to apply training concepts and receive feedback.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching and mentorship to enhance the skills and confidence of PSS counselors.
  • Address any challenges or issues faced by counselors in delivering psychosocial support.

Advisory Role

  • Offer expert advice on PSS practices, including case management, crisis intervention, and counseling techniques.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and developments in psychosocial support and integrate relevant findings into practice.
  • Support the development of PSS policies and procedures.

Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Monitor and assess the performance of PSS counselors and the impact of training programs.
  • Prepare reports on training activities, outcomes, and recommendations for improvements.
  • Contribute to developing strategies for enhancing the effectiveness of psychosocial support services.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience, Or Master's degree in Psychology with 3 years’ experience. Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in providing psychosocial support and training, preferably in a similar context.
  • Strong understanding of psychosocial support methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in developing training materials and conducting workshops.

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
