Job Descriptions:

The Partnerships and Business Development Manager is tasked with identifying and generating new business opportunities. This role requires a deep understanding of the organization's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis), as well as the competitive landscape. The Partnerships and Business Development Manager will craft and implement short- and long-term business development plans that are well-informed and measurable, coordinate activities, and ensure the organization's activities and projects are widely visible and disseminated.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Proposal Development and Submission (30%)

  • Research potential opportunities and clients through daily screening of online resources, other mediums and understand their needs and requirements to prepare bid packages.
  • Contextualize global resources, templates and other PBDM knowledge and communication materials like pitch decks, pre-filled proposal content; partner PPTs, etc.
  • Develop a repository of technical approaches and methodologies recommended for each proposal. Maintain a repository for each service offering.
  • Using the technical repository, develop and maintain guidelines and knowledge documents for technical proposal development.
  • Take proposal development responsibility and/or oversee the proposal development process, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Supervise the timely submission of proposals and required documentation.

 

Coordination and Communication (20%)

  • Collaborate with internal departments for alignment and cooperation.
  • Maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including clients, subject matter experts (SMEs) and industry partners.
  • Coordinate projects and activities across multiple teams to ensure smooth service delivery.

Client and Partner Relationship Management (20%)

  • Initiate outreach to potential clients and partners that align with Adroit Associates' mission and goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Engage in negotiations to finalize MoUs, agreements and contracts that are mutually beneficial and align with the organization's objectives.
  • Contextualize client relationship management framework and policies, and procedures.
  • Initiate outreach to potential clients and partners that align with Adroit Associates' mission and goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Engage in negotiations to finalize MoUs, agreements, and contracts that are mutually beneficial and align with the organization's objectives.
  • Develop and manage local strategic partnerships, networks, associations, and memberships and industry influencers.
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events; participate in online forums, and engage with stakeholders directly.
  • Maintain and strengthen relations with existing and past clients.

Market Analysis and Strategy Development (10%)

  • Conduct market analysis to identify business opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies based on SWOT analysis, competitive landscape, and market trends.
  • Craft short- and long-term business development plans aligned with organizational goals.

In-depth Knowledge of Service Offering (10%)

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the organization's offerings and business interests in a business pipeline format.
  • Identify and communicate viable business/opportunity forecasts across multiple sectors.
  • Effectively communicate the organization's brand message to potential clients and partners.

Management and Documentation (10%)

  • Manage business development activities, ensuring adherence to established processes and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to business development activities.
  • Ensure quality control and alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the line supervisor as needed; particularly beyond official hours.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Commerce or a related field (master's degree preferred).
