Job Descriptions:

Job summary:

The Communication Officer is responsible for capturing and sharing the organization's success stories through high-quality photos, video clips, and written content. This role involves creating engaging visual and written materials that highlight the impact of the organization's work.

Key functions:

•  Capture high-quality photos and video clips that showcase the organization's activities and successes.

•  Develop compelling success stories and case studies through interviews and field visits.

•  Edit and produce videos for various platforms, including social media, websites, and presentations.

•  Manage and maintain a digital archive of photos and videos.

•  Collaborate with the communications team to ensure consistent messaging and branding.

•  Assist in organizing and documenting events and promotional activities.

KEY RELATIONS

  1. Project manager, Communication advisor and project team,
  2. Duty Locations: Balk sub office with trip to (Chemtal, Balkh, Dehaddi, and Charbolak districts)

 

Key Results Expected

  • Proficiency in photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
  •   Strong storytelling skills and ability to create engaging content.
  • Ability to work in challenging environments and travel as needed.
  • Capable to provide quality promotion materials.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Requirements:

Core Competencies:

  • Aware of gender norms and gender sensitive topics
  • Well familiar in community norm, context analysis and community mobilization
  • Excellent presentation skill

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field.

Work Experience: At least 2 years’ experience in photography, videography, and content creation.

Languages Skills: Fluency in written and spoken Dari and Pushto and English languages.
