Job Descriptions:

The Oilfield Deputy Manager assists the Oilfield Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring safety and efficiency in oilfield activities. This role involves managing teams, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:

    • Assist in planning and executing oilfield operations.
    • Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
    • Resolve operational issues and escalate complex problems to the Oilfield Manager.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Supervise and guide field staff and contractors.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvement.
    • Facilitate training and development programs for team members.
  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Conduct safety audits and risk assessments.
    • Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
  • Reporting and Documentation:

    • Prepare and present operational reports to the Oilfield Manager.
    • Maintain accurate records of activities, incidents, and compliance checks.
    • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Coordination and Communication:

    • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors and regulatory bodies.
    • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., engineering, logistics) to ensure smooth operations.
    • Address and resolve any operational or interpersonal issues.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree from a recognized university
  2. Over 20 years’ of experience in the oil and gas industry
  3. Over 8 years’ oversea experience in the oil and gas industry
  4. Over 8 years’ experience in the management of Oil Fields with similar positions
  5. Experience of cooperation with/in famous international oil companies
  6. Experience and knowledge of production facilities and wells
  7. Experience of coordinating all activities between operations and the support sections to ensure operations are  carried out in  accordance with the approved work programs.
  8. Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of oilfield operations, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in relevant software and technology (e.g., drilling management systems, project management tools).
    • 8. Performance Metrics:

    • Achievement of operational efficiency targets.
    • Compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
    • Effective team management and development.
    • Quality and timeliness of reporting and documentation.
