Job Descriptions:

  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address emotional, psychological, and social challenges faced by clients.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on the needs and goals of each client.
  • Offer crisis intervention and support for individuals experiencing acute distress.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify psychosocial needs and mental health issues among clients.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of clients, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, and counseling sessions.
  • Facilitate support groups for individuals facing similar challenges, such as survivors of trauma or individuals dealing with chronic stress.
  • Organize and participate in community outreach activities to raise awareness about mental health and the availability of PSS services.
  • Collaborate with community leaders and organizations to promote mental health and well-being.
  • Provide training and capacity-building sessions for staff, volunteers, and community members on psychosocial support, mental health awareness, and coping strategies.
  • Support the development of materials and resources to enhance the delivery of PSS services.
  • Work closely with other healthcare providers, social workers, and community leaders to ensure a coordinated approach to client care.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on counseling activities, client progress, and community outreach efforts.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards in the delivery of psychosocial support services.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and ensure a safe and supportive environment for all clients.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Certification or license in counseling or psychosocial support is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience providing counseling or psychosocial support services.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and mental health issues.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in both national language (Dari & Pashto) oral and written
  • Fluency in English is a must both oral and written
