Job Brief

Under the general direction of the AHH head, the IT Manager is responsible for the day-to-day secure and effective operation of all information system services, application systems, networks, designing, computer systems, and related applications within the hospital. This includes direct supervision and management of information services staff including the performance of personnel duties.

• Oversee the daily operations of the hospital's IT department.
• Ensure the security and integrity of the hospital data and IT systems.
• Manage the installation and maintenance of the hardware, software, and other IT equipment.
• Provide technical support to the hospital's staff in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Develop and manage the policies, procedures, and IT annual budget.
• Create and design various materials for digital and print, thus Work with a wide range of media and graphic design software.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs.
• Implement new technologies to improve patient care and hospital efficiency.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of IT systems to ensure their availability and reliability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends in the healthcare industry.
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans, thus Conducting regular audits of IT systems and processes.
• Ensure the hospital's IT infrastructure is scalable and adaptable to future needs.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers, as well as provide training and support to hospital staff on new technologies.
• Prepare and present reports on IT performance and initiatives to hospital leadership.

1. Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, Master is preferred.

2. Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience in IT management, preferably in a healthcare setting.

3. Skills and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of healthcare IT systems and regulations.
• Proven track record of managing IT teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or other industry-standard tools.
• Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and web
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations.
• Experience with network and system administration.
• Ability to develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
• Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
• Experience with IT project management.
• Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

• Ability to communication in English, Pashto and Dari Languages.
