CHA Background:

Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA) is a non-governmental, non-profitable, and non-political Afghan NGO, working since 1987 mainly in agriculture, health, education, and infrastructure sectors in more vulnerable areas of the country. CHA is working through the implementation of Emergency, rehabilitation, and development projects for emergency aid for war, famine, and natural disaster-affected families in the field, to assist with the rehabilitation of rural and urban life, and to work with communities for sustainable development in Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Have proven experience in project management and implementation.
  • Develop detailed project implementation plans, work schedules, logistic plan, duties of project staffs and budgets.
  • Oversee the implementation of the overall project activities.
  • Conducting orientation of project at provincial level,
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, project partners, and donor.
  • Collaborate with the project team and provide guidance on project activities.
  • Monitor project progress and identify challenges or bottlenecks.
  • Propose solutions to overcome implementation challenges.
  • Ensure project activities are implemented effectively, efficiently, and on time.
  • Monitor the quality and impact of project interventions.
  • Collect and analyze data on project indicators to track progress.
  • Prepare timely and accurate project reports, including progress reports.
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination with project stakeholders.
  • Conduct community consultations to ensure community participation.
  • Represent the project in coordination meetings and workshops.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Document project activities, including case studies and success stories.
  • Contribute to the development of project-related communication materials.
  • Familiarity with cash-based interventions.

 

 

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

The successful applicants will need to address the following criteria:

  • Graduate from university
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and local languages.
  • Knowledge of the local context in Herat and Badghis provinces or similar regions.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation, data collection, and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multitask effectively.
  • Understanding of the humanitarian or development sector.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Adaptability and ability to work in challenging and dynamic environments.
  • Commitment to project sustainability and positive community impact.
  • Have the required skills of computer (office package)
  • Be able to use Kobo toolbox
  • Be able to write the reports
  • Have at least 3 years of similar project experience.
