Women Activities & Social Service Association (WASSA) established in 2002 in Afghanistan, as a non-governmental organization, committed to seeking ways for women empowerment in Afghanistan. WASSA aims to promote women's equal participation in the socio-economic sectors of the country. WASSA works directly with communities to bring change in the social attitude of the community regarding women.
The Women and Girls Empowerment Project is funded by UNICEF and implemented in The Western Region (Herat, Farah, Ghor, and Badqhis provinces). The primary purpose of the program in Afghanistan is to reduce the violence and harmful practices against women and girls.
It aims at targeting the most at-risk groups, to accelerate efforts toward the elimination of violence and harmful practices. the WGE in Afghanistan will bring women and girls, including those with intersecting forms of discrimination and marginalization, to the center of the interventions, recognizing that the empowerment of women and girls, and their unique experiences and solutions they bring based on their intersectional identities, is the key to design and implement a program that responds to the needs and priorities of women and girls of Afghanistan in all their diversity.
The project needs to recruit a facilitator to work full–time. She provides overall technical, and organizational support and plays a facilitation role in the communities she is assigned, including technology and best practices, awareness creation and linkages, and behavioral change through education, information, and communication. She supports people’s empowerment, collective action, and solidarity. Facilitates and encourages the active participation of and networking between individuals and communities in recognizing problems, identifying solutions, and implementing project activities related to the identified solutions.
Under the overall supervision of the Project Manager, the facilitator will work on the following tasks to coordinate the implementation of the project:

The facilitators will be supervised by the Project Manager. The ideal candidate will be a confident public speaker and a devoted educator who is up-to-date on the latest tools and resources needed to improve target audience training and performance.
