Afghan Women Coordination and Promotion Organization (AWCPO) was founded by a group of educated and committed women in 2013 as a non-profit, non-political and non-governmental organization registered with the Afghan Ministry of Economy bearing registration No 3010. Dedicated to the welfare, upliftment and well-being of Afghans with a primary focus on women empowerment, humanitarian assistance, education, livelihood, emergency relief and WASH. 

Job Descriptions:

AWCPO is committed to delivering humanitarian assistance funded by the World Food Program (WFP). The Scope Registration Officer is responsible for accurately registering beneficiaries in WFP's SCOPE system, following WFP’s specified data quality standards.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately register beneficiaries in the SCOPE system following the data quality standards set by the World Food Program (WFP).
  •  Verify and cross-check beneficiary information to ensure accuracy and avoid duplication of records.
  • Ensure that all data entered into the SCOPE system is complete, consistent, and adheres to WFP’s designated quality standards.
  •  Maintain up-to-date records of all registered beneficiaries, ensuring data is securely stored and easily retrievable.
  • Perform routine checks to ensure the integrity and quality of the data collected, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection policies and maintain the confidentiality of beneficiary information.
  • Identify and resolve any technical issues encountered with the SCOPE system during registration, working with technical teams as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
  • Offer guidance to beneficiaries on the registration process and resolve any issues or concerns related to their data.

Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in data entry, database management, or a related role.
  • Applicant applying for the position of On-call SCOPE Registration Officer of Paktia must be Paktia's residents. 
  • Previous experience working with humanitarian organizations or in WFP projects is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the SCOPE system or similar beneficiary registration systems.
  • Strong knowledge of data entry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with digital data collection tools and platforms.
  • Basic troubleshooting and technical support skills for system issues.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Fluency in English. Knowledge of local languages is a must.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and verification.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and correct data discrepancies.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to field locations to support registration activities as required.
  • Experience working in challenging environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot system issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in resolving challenges.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, data protection, and adherence to organizational standards for accountability and transparency.
  • Understanding of and commitment to humanitarian principles and gender-sensitive issues.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented and culturally diverse environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to new procedures, technologies, and responsibilities as required by the role.
