About Afghans Humanitarian Aids & Development Organization (AHADO):

Afghans Humanitarian Aid and Development Organization (AHADO) is a non-government, non-profit humanitarian social welfare organization. AHADO established in October 2013 and registered with Ministry of Economy (MoEc), through license Number 3053. AHADO based in Kandahar and delivered humanitarian and development projects in various regions of the country including southern, central and northern regions. Implemented projects were in various sectors of child protection, community education, gender equity, WASH, health/hygiene, capacity building, livelihood and advocacy. AHADO is committed to the humanitarian principals and is PSEA Signatory, therefore AHADO would strictly  follow all its provisions in its daily operation and apply the considered measurement on the perpetrators.

Job Descriptions:

It’s a fulltime job and the position holder would work six days/week. The Education Program Manager is responsible for the sound planning; coordination and implementation of project all affairs in the national, provincial and districts levels. Education Program Manager is responsible for overall management of the project according to the finalized Project Documents including overall planning, coordination, reporting, management, and monitoring, of project affairs with national , regional and provincial stakeholders, leading and managing of provincial project manager, and utilization of project resources to ensure sound continuity of 500 CBEs in all districts of Nimroz Province and achievement of project all objectives. He/She would report to the Head of  Program (HoP) and would work closely with HoP, UNICEF provincial and regional staff, and Ministry of Education, national, provincial and districts authorities and communities representatives.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Responsible for development and verification of project comprehensive implementation plan.
  • Make sure that all activities according to the project agreement and scope of work considered and included in the project implementation plan along with appropriate timeline for each activity.
  • Coordinate the project plan with Head of Program (HoP) and get his approval.
  •  Make sure that all capacity building activates e.g. PSEA training for staff, ToTs, awareness sessions, the Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) Training for CBE teachers considered and included in the project plan and delivered with high quality.  
  • Make sure the School Management Shoura’s (SMSs) are active, fully engaged in the project affairs and received all planned trainings including the PSEA awareness sessions.
  • Establish excellent coordination and communication mechanism with the education cluster, provincial authorities, communities and other stakeholders in the provincial and regional level.
  • Present and coordinate, project activities at education cluster meetings and other relevant provincial conferences and meetings.
  • Make sure that the transition plan developed and implemented and facilitate   the Community-Based Education (CBE) classes’ integration to public schools and certify a seamless and sustainable integration of educational practices and resources.

 

Project Implementation:

  • Responsible for on time implementations of project planned activities in the provincial level within the allocated budget, and high quality. 
  • Manage, supervise, coordinate and monitor project activities in national,  provincial and district levels
  • Make sure all targeted children enrolled to the CBE with no discrimination based on their ethnic background, or disability status.
  • Ensure the project staff take appropriate security precautions
  • Manage the project overall operation  resources utilization.
  • Ensure implementation of organizational policies and project procedures.
  • Assure proper coordination, and sound implementation of the training workshops and awareness sessions.

 

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Assist in the design of a data collection and management system to generate data, analysis and feedback to ensure high  quality of the project.
  • Make sure that a functioning Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) established in all districts, the communities members, parents, students voice their concerns, suggestion and statsfaction levels through a transparent feedback mechanism.
  • Facilitate the monitoring missions of the UNICEF, MoE and other stakeholders to see and visit the project implementation progress.
  • Conduct field visits to monitor and visit the project sites and implementation process.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of staff and accordingly provide feedback for improvement.

  Reporting: 

  • Responsible to check and verify project financial and technical reports before submission to the donor.
  • Review and verity project weekly, monthly and quarterly progress reports prepared by the Provincial Project Manager.
  • Prepare any had-hock report asked by the UNICEF or AHADO management.

Follow any incidence of SEA cases, share detailed report of any SEA casues with HoP and UNICEF for further process.

AHADO commitment on PSEA awareness and  implementation

AHADO has a zero-tolerance policy for (sexual) misconduct.

AHADO SEA policy sets minimum standards that must be followed by all employees to protect beneficiaries and members of the community from sexual exploitation and abuse. Furthermore AHADO would follow and apply all provisions of the UNICEF, PSEA and Child Safeguarding Policies,

Earlier issuing any contract all candidates must complete the SEA Reference check that include the completion of following steps:

Reference Check for new candidates/employees

The candidates should submit two to three references from his/she former employers and complete the reference check forms Annex 1 to introduce his/her current and former employers for reference check to confirm that the candidate did not commit any ESA and Harassment.

B-Candidates with any committed SEA and harassment back-ground should not be hired.

C- To ensure that the candidate is honest and did not commit any SEA and harassment, AHADO would share the Annex 2, (candidates Reference check table) to be completed by  the candidates references, and based on the provided information, honest candidates who did not commit  any SEA and harassment , should be considered for hiring.  The annexes 1 and 2 would be shared with the final candidates

Job Requirements:

  • The applicant must have Bachelor Degree is required; Master is preferred.
  • Proven experiences in implementation and management of education projects,
  • Able to travel to all districts of Nimroz Province.
  •  Sign and agree on the Children Safeguarding and PSEA policies
