We are helping children get a better education, we make it possible for more boys and girls to attend school, we help children protect themselves and influence their own conditions. We work with families, communities and health workers in homes, clinics and hospitals to promote basic health in order to save lives of children and mothers.

Job Descriptions:

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

The main areas of accountability and responsibility of this post is to facilitate cash and voucher assistance related activities of Save the Children’s Food Security and Livelihood in all Save the Children International’s operational areas. Details are below.

  • Take part in Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) planning, implementation and monitoring.
  • Support capacity building of project teams on cash and voucher assistance procedures.
  • Support Save the Children’s Finance team on cash transfer documentation, record and invoicing process.
  • Make sure the Cash Transfer Programming (CTP) is in line with SCI food security and livelihood Standard Operation Procedure (SOP).
  • Support project teams to develop cash distribution plan in coordination with FSP based on the area realities.
  • Record CTP/ CVA soft and hard data into online portal and to recording offline trackers.
  • Take part in preparing payment plans for beneficiaries with consultation of financial service provider.
  • Submit regular CTP/ CVA updates reports (weekly, monthly, and quarterly) to supervisors based on the requirements of the program.
  • Support matters of the CVA activities — including documentation, approval, and actual payment, any other required paperwork.
  • Report on any problems to the supervisors promptly that encountered in the field and/or in the office such as procurement problems, project participant complaints and local authority interference.
  • Collaborate with SCI — AF supportive function departments including supply chain, finance and safety & security.
  • Handle communication with Financial Service Provider (FSP) and reflect on CTP/ CVA challenges in the field.
  • Assist and participate in field visits from the CVA implementation process in accordance with SCI agreements with the FSP.
  • Ensure that all Child Safeguarding Measure are considered during CVA process.

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS 

University degree in development studies, Economics, Agriculture, social science, or any other relevant technical credentials.

Have the ability and knowledge on cash and voucher -based interventions for food security and livelihood program.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential

 

  • Minimum 2 years working experience on CTP/ CVA in livelihood programming and FSL activities.
  • Maturity and confidence in dealing with the staff, Financial Service Providers and beneficiaries.
  • Excellent communication (both oral and written) in English and local languages, people skill for conflict resolution and negotiation.
  • Have acquired basic CVA skill  and knowledge training   on cash based programming 

Computer proficiency, especially related to professional office software packages (Microsoft Office);
