Inspired by the UN Millennium Development Goals no. 3 and no. 5, Womanity aims to provide good quality education in Afghanistan to offer better academic and career opportunities and give target beneficiaries the opportunity to positively contribute in the society.

According to the strategy of Womanity and collaboration with the Ministry of Education MOE, Womanity refined what it would like to be its unique value added in Afghanistan and reformulated the scope.

During year 2022 Womanity Foundation, conducts Coding and Web Development Classes to Computer Institute of (TVET) on the subject of cooperation with Institute on enhancing capacity of female students of institute – building of Institute Trainers and equipping computer labs of institute.

 In 2023 and 2024 Womanity foundation, conducts CBE (Community-based Education) classrooms to improve the education quality of School students at Afghanistan.

In 2024 Womanity Foundation, conduct a program to support the Provincial Education Department of Kabul Province to recruit 70 teachers for primary school. 

Job Descriptions:

The Womanity Foundation is seeking an experienced Education Field Assistant to support its educational initiatives in the Kabul districts of Bagrami, Char Asiab, and Paghman. This role is integral to the success of the foundation’s education program, which aims to monitor and evaluate the progress of 70 teachers, ensure the delivery of quality education, and foster coordination with the Provincial Education Department (PED), District Education Department (DED) and respected Schools.

The Education Field Assistant will lead the coordination and implementation of program activities, collaborating closely with formal schools, DED and PED to identify and address gaps in teacher capacity. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and compliance with policies and procedures.

Specific duties and responsibilities:

  • She reports to the Program Officer of Womanity Afghanistan and needs to receive daily instructions and perform assigned tasks accordingly.
  • Rresponsible to learn and understand well the scope of the related tasks and responsibilities of mentioned position.
  • Responsible to play an active role in developing tools related to the project and its related components as well as its monitoring.
  • Work to achieve the objectives of the program and to ensure that teachers conduct classes regularly, maintain good attendance, have a good teaching method, students learn well and achieve good academic results.
  • Collecting and updating data for teachers, students profile, following the related data of DED and PED.
  • Organizing/managing the methodic training for teachers. And for the best implementation and achieve good academic results of methodic training, each teacher should be followed.
  • Responsible to prepare detailed implementation plans for the project and work with program staff and teachers to track project progress against work plan.
  • Responsible for the implementation of the project considering needs and provide support as per MoU (Memorandum of Understating). She must ensure that her work in line with relevant schedule for the implementation of the program and ensure that reports are submitted to the MoE and its relevant department on time.
  • Build and maintain trusted and effective relationship and coordination with PED, DED and schools’ management.
  • Need to follow and implement MoU with MoE related responsibility on behalf of WF in consultation with the Program Officer.
  • Preparation of related data in soft and hard and reporting on quarterly bases to MoE is the core part of the position.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly supervision of 70 teachers in three districts of Kabul Province.
  • Ensure that all teachers have good teaching method according to MoE curriculum.
  • For the best implementation of program in general, The Education Field Assistant is responsible for reporting, data sharing, equipping the teachers according to MoU all related responsibility in WF and with MoE.
  • Prepare teachers’ contract and (ToR) as per Womanity’s policy at the beginning of the program and follow with teachers to act as per ToR.
  • Must respect and have good communications with teachers. The Education Field Assistant should support and guide teachers and be prompt in replying to messages and phone calls.
  • Collect necessary documents (CVs, copy of Tazkira, copy of Tax identification number and copy of Photo) at the beginning of the program and submit them to HR department of Womanity.
  • Prepare and approve the teacher’s attendance sheet at the end of each month and report their attendance rate to Womanity HR department.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with teachers to share the successes/challenges and aware them on any individual issues and report it to Womanity together with the monthly reports.
  •  Keep track of data related to teachers, program progress and material covered during the course as per the tracking files distributed by Womanity.
  • Track teacher’s attendance and report HR department for their monthly payment.
  • Ensure the distribution of educational material kits to the beneficiaries and monitor the implementation progress.
  • Facilitate and support teachers for providing daily lesson plan of each subject.
  • Develop and finalize standard educational materials and tools with the consultation of Education department and suggest further improvement of the existing educational tools.
  • Maintain project documentation including reports, attendance, analysed monitoring checklists, up-to-date data, evaluations, true story reporting, good quality photographs, policy documents for audit and donors report.
  • Prepare and submit reports monthly report including assessment, capacity building and performance to the Program officer monthly in soft and hard.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly reports of program to MoE. 
  • Report immediately any urgent issue and cases or any other filed cases to Womanity, relevant schools, DED and PED and make sure for finding the solutions with support of related departments.
  • Provide require assistance to DED monitoring team and MoE related staff to visit our classes and ensure that the program meet their regulation for monitoring.
  • Conduct regular monitoring visits to each district (minimum twice per week), submitting comprehensive reports after each visit to the Program Manager.
  • Monitor classrooms, evaluate student progress, and ensure action points from previous visits are addressed.
  •  Assess, record, and report on program development, recommending plans for improvement as needed.


The Education Field Assistant will work closely with the Ministry of Education, Womanity project teams, and other relevant stakeholders to achieve program objectives. This role reports directly to the Program officer, with accountability for program success, teacher performance, and compliance with established standards.

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent team management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Have experience in teaching, preparing lesson plan, questionnaire and monitoring school teachers.
  • Knowledge of school teaching subjects and familiar with current curriculum of MoE (Ministry of Education).
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to speak clearly and persuasively in English, Dari and Pashto.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team as well with the schools.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and meeting of deadlines.
  • Culture sensitive, respect for local norms, confidentiality, and privacy.
  • Willingness to travel and stay in remote areas and inhospitable environment.
