Alongside the Ministry of Public Health, AFGA has been working in the field of Reproductive Health since its inception. A committed team of more than 600 experts are working in 11 provinces of Afghanistan to achieve AFGA goals and objectives. AFGA provides health services to the most vulnerable and hard to reach communities through over 140 service delivery points.  

About Hospital:

AFGA is in the process of establishment of a 20-bed hospital in Kabul, aimed at providing quality Reproductive Health services to mothers and newborns. The hospital will be fully equipped with modern medical equipment, facilities and staffed by experts.

As part of a long-term development plan, hospital services will continuously expand, serving as the central hub for AFGA outreach and small Service Delivery Points (SDPs) to refer patients needing advanced care. The hospital will adhere to national and international standards for patient safety and quality service, ensuring it meets the needs of target communities.

Job Descriptions:

Job Summary:

 

The Nurse is responsible for effective and serious nursing care services for OPD, IPD, Emergency and patients in ward. Check and keeping record of vital signs, administration of medicine, match the drug dosage and care of wound in compliance with hospital policies.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that patient receives its required medicines on time as per medical doctor or specialist order.
  • Develop and implement individualized patients care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  •  Medical services to patients in order to perform nursing duties within the bed.
  • Collection of information responsibly about patient and its care.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition and maintain recording vital signs, distribution of medicines, match the drug dosage and care of wound.
  • Register of patient’s vital signs and all other nursing related treatment charts of patients.
  • Ensure performing laboratory examination and on time informing of doctor.
  • Prepare and arrangement of activities monthly quarterly and yearly plan  
  • Performing night shift duty as per ward schedule.
  • Provide report of progress of the related sector activities.
  • Perform other duties related to the task that is entrusted by the relevant department.
  • Active participation in designing and implementing various training within the nursing service.
  • Compliance with all conditions to prevent infection and compliance with medical uniform in the official working time.
  • Implementation and compliance with strict standards set by the relevant department.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and standards guidelines of care
  • Active participation in the evaluation of Quarterly assigned standard of related sector.
  • Respect all rules and regulations of the AFGA and adhere safeguarding policy
  • She will report to the nursing manager.

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Graduated from recognized health institutes (nursing Department).
  •  Degree/diploma must be attested by Ministry of Higher Education or & Ministry of Public Health.
  • At least 2-3 years relevant clinical experience is Preferable.
  • Experience in areas such as medical-surgical, critical care, and emergency units is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is typically required, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
  • Should know Dari, Pashto and med level of  English language  
  • Strong Communication and interpersonal Skill
